8.5 Hours Summer
Our next experience is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Home to bears, a musk ox herd, a wood bison herd that was once thought to be extinct, moose, elk, caribou, lynx, and more. This rescue center gets you up close to some of Alaska’s finest animals!
Next we take a tunnel through the heart of the Chugach mountains. It is the longest highway tunnel in North America with one lane for cars and trains to share… on a schedule of course. Don’t expect concrete walls, this one is raw rock.
Finally, an amazing opportunity to experience the land of Midnight Son at just the right time, sunset. Come with us on a 2.5-hour cruise viewing the glaciers of Blackstone Bay on board a high speed catamaran. Our catamaran can get to the glaciers fast to allow more time viewing these massive rivers of ice through our large picture windows and from our spacious outdoor viewing areas. The captain will slowly rotate the boat and take in the views from every angle, allowing everyone time to view the glaciers.
All narration will be provided by the captain and your guide. A complimentary hot meal will be served on the way to the glacier. Our self-serve courtesy stations which have tea, coffee and ice water are available throughout the cruise. A full-service saloon features a variety of snack and beverages for purchase including wine, Alaska ales, specialty cocktails and hot drinks. And of course, our cruise comes with our exclusive “No Seasickness Guarantee” ensuring every guest a comfortable, smooth cruise aboard our first class catamaran.
Of course, we will get you back to Anchorage and your hotel at the close of our evening.
